Robert M. Long, Co-founder and CEO
Robert “Bob” Long is the Co-Founder and CEO of Microvascular Health Solutions. He is an experienced business executive, leader and entrepreneur with a proven history in strategic planning, accountability and results-driven success. As Co-Founder and CEO of MicroVascular Health Solutions (MVHS) and CEO of GlycoCheck, LLCBob directs commercial operations and is committed to developing an organization that identifies medical device companies and nutritional therapies focused on reducing healthcare costs. Bob and Co-Founder Hans Vink have assembled a talented team in Microvascular Health Solutions (MVHS). MVHS is dedicated to educating research institutions, clinicians and consumers, as well as developing and providing cutting-edge microvascular testing systems and nutritional supplements to support the human microvascular system. Bob has previously built several dynamic and profitable companies and teams, both domestically and internationally, as he has worked with key investors to maintain accountability and regular reporting on benchmarks. Bob is a driven executive, emphasizing achievement, focus, and direction spanning from product development to sales and marketing, through operations. In every business endeavor, Bob cuts through to clearly and concisely articulate the benefits of the organization’s offerings to its intended market. One of Bob’s greatest talents is his ability to motivate team members to success, which is evident in the results he has consistently delivered for his companies and their stakeholders.
Hans Vink, PhD, Co-founder and Chief Science Officer
Dr. Hans Vink, PhD is the Co-Founder and Chief Science Officer of Microvascular Health Solutions. A biomedical researcher and a pioneer in the study of the endothelial glycocalyx, Dr. Hans Vink developed the GlycoCheck technology system that allows the clinical assessment of the glycocalyx. He is often sought out to lecture at universities and medical institutions around the world due to his expertise in the science of glycocalyx observation and his passion for sharing his extensive understanding of the vascular system. Hans earned a PhD in Physics from the University of Amsterdam in 1994, where he began his study of the glycocalyx. He continued his research as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Virginia, and returned to Amsterdam in 1997 to continue his work. He was awarded a Research Fellowship from the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences for his study of the glycocalyx from 2000 through 2005. In 2005 he became an Established Investigator of the Netherlands Heart Foundation. In 2006 he joined the department of Physiology at Maastricht University, where he continues glycocalyx research as a Principle Investigator within the Cardiovascular Research Institute Maastricht (CARIM). He has authored or contributed on more than 75 scholarly papers and reviews and he has been awarded several grants to further the study of the glycocalyx and its importance to human health.
Don McGee, Chief Medical Officer
Donald L. McGee, MD (Mt Sinai School of Medicine, NY), PHD (Health Studies Saybrook Institute, San Francisco) founded Wellness.com, which has become a leading health and wellness website. He has been a Board Certified Emergency Physician and Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians for more than 30 years. During his first practice, he was embedded in the world’s leading Holistic Health and Growth Retreat Center in Meadowlark, Southern California, founded by Dr. Evarts Loomis, the father of holistic medicine. This center eventually closed, due to the decline of its founder (who lived well into his 90’s), but this experience made a lasting impression on Dr. McGee on the importance of Lifestyle and Mind Body Health for a fulfilled and successful life. Lifestyle includes nutrition, fitness, social-emotional wellness, and spiritual connectedness—all of which directly impact the health and rejuvenation of the endothelial glycocalyx: the core mission of Microvascular Health Solutions. Dr. McGee is becoming a subject matter expert in microvascular health in order to teach and guide practitioners and consumers alike for a health care—rather than sick care—solution for long term health and wellbeing.
Dana Goff, Chief Financial Officer
Dana is a key contributor to Microvascular Health Solutions’ business plans, long range plans, and quarterly and annual business reviews for investors. He works with business leadership and owners to develop and execute business strategy.While associated with HighStreet Global Asset Management, Dana was part of a team to place and manage worldwide investments generating superior returns, provide portfolio companies with partnership opportunities for rapid growth and expansion, and develop communities where these investments are made. Dana has a graduate of Weber State University and holds an MBA in finance from Brigham Young University.
Gary Hennerberg, Chief Marketing Officer
Gary Hennerberg is considered among America’s leading marketers. He has been a marketing professional since 1978 and has been an independent marketing consultant and copywriter since 1992 before joining Microvascular Health Solutions in 2016 as CMO. He is adept at both the numbers and creative side of marketing, where he translates marketing plans into action. With experience in cross-channel marketing including direct mail, catalogs, email, online video, websites and social media, Gary identifies the most effective and cost-efficient blend to generate sales. Hennerberg has worked with MVHS Chief Customer Officer Perry Alexander since 1996, and with their long-time business relationship, they have created marketing campaigns that have appeared in millions of U.S. households and have been translated into four languages. He is the author of the Crack the Customer Mind Code, Seven Pathways from Head to Heart to YES, and Direct Marketing Quantified, the Knowledge is in the Numbers. He is also the author of a biweekly column for Target Marketing Magazine and is a regular speaker at marketing events. Gary is a graduate of Fort Hays State University and the Direct Marketing Institute.
Perry Alexander, Chief Customer Officer
In the realm of advertising and marketing strategy and design, Perry Alexander has thrived on tirelessly reaching for and riding the leading edge of evolving best practices. He believes that customer communications involve well-told stories, relevant to the reader, listener and viewer. They engage, build trust and loyalty, and a desire for more. Since 1973, he has applied fundamental marketing and design principles (still relevant today), using diverse delivery media (very different today), beginning with his early days with print, television, and radio. Since 1996, he has produced countless marketing campaigns with long-time colleague, and MVHS Chief Marketing Officer Gary Hennerberg. In a world shifting ever more to online and mobile marketing communication, he and Gary have repurposed, repositioned, and re-invented approaches to aptly reach deeply into the markets of his clients. Alexanderemploys Web design, email and landing page strategies, as well as online videos that tell stories. He is adept at re-inventing formerly tried-and-true marketing methods with campaigns that are in need of being rethought, reset, and redeployed to impact today’s marketplace. Perry is a graduate of the University of Michigan.
